Carrier Oils
Red Rasberry Seed
Source: USA
Production Method: Cold pressed and filtered, from the specially dried seeds of non-certified organic farm grown red raspberries
Botanical name: Rubus Idaeus
The seeds of red raspberry are known to contain substantial flavonoids, anti-oxidants, and 33% omega-3 and 52% omega-6 fatty acids. It’s unique among other carrier oils because it forms a nano-lipid layer on the skin, which seals in moisture and disperses and reflects UV radiation. Raspberry seed oil boosts the effectiveness of natural sunscreens, and is especially effective at repairing damage caused by UV radiation that penetrates deep into the skin.
Red raspberry seed botanical oil is light textured so it makes for a perfect facial treatment oil. It’s light enough that it won’t clog pores, and is easily absorbed into the skin to nourish at deep levels.

Grape seed botanical oil has a regenerative effect on the skin. It contains plant nutrients and EFA’s that help skin maintain moisture, and delay the effects of aging. Its light weight and non-greasy texture make it perfect for making oil blends and perfumes. It absorbs readily into skin, scalp, and hair.

Jojoba
Source: Arizona, USA
Process: Cold pressed from the seeds.
Botanical name: Simmondsia Chinensis
Jojoba is a light golden liquid “wax”, not actually an oil and is naturally high in vitamin E. It’s non-allergenic, and so stable that it needs no refrigeration. It can tolerate heating and reheating, without oxidizing, breaking down or going rancid, making it perfect for hot stone therapy or any method using heated oil. It doesn’t clog pores, as does mineral oil.
Jojoba adds a soft, gentle, and nurturing energy to most blends, on emotional and energetic levels. It is nourishing and soothing, and brings an element of comfort into the therapeutic atmosphere, to aid in creating a safe place to release what is no longer needed. It has a smooth non-greasy texture that absorbs quickly into the skin.
Benefits
It remains liquid at low temperatures
Because jojoba is actually a wax that is molecularly similar to our own skin excretion (sebum), it’s better absorbed and assimilated into the skin than oils
Jojoba has a very soft fragrance, yet it takes on the scent of any oil that it’s blended with it, and acts as a natural fixative
Leaves skin feeling smooth and greasy-free
Coconut Oil
Source: Hawaii, USA
Process: Mechanically separated using only filters; no solvents are used, unlike commercially produced fractionated coconut oil.
Botanical name: Cocos Nucifera
This clear and pure filtered coconut oil is lighter than Grapeseed oil, jojoba, and any other vegetable oils. This is a fixed oil, which won’t go rancid, because the triglycerides have been filtered out. It stays liquid at room temperature, and doesn’t need refrigeration. Just like Jojoba, it also has a very long shelf life.
Benefits
Great carrier oil for massage therapy blends, baths and body oils, natural perfumes and energy blends
It consists completely of saturated fatty acid side chains, so it is more like animal fat and absorbs quickly into the skin
This is an ideal carrier oil for therapeutic purposes
For massage therapy, it provides lubrication, then disappears quickly into the skin, taking the essential oil phyto-nutrients with it
It washes out of massage sheets and blankets easily, with no staining
Leaves skin feeling smooth and greasy-free
It is completely soluble with essential oils and compatible with soaps of all kinds
