It is also known to be a great bronchodilator, as it helps open breathing passages when inhaled. It has also been used for pain relief, specifically for muscle and nerve pain. It also is a heart tonic and can help balance the heart meridian, which aids issues like high blood pressure and arteriosclerosis, and it reduces cholesterol when used in a compress or taken internally.
May chang is also known to help with oily skin, thereby making it helpful for treating acne, fungal infections, and dermatitis. It also can strengthen the digestive system. It is helpful for ulcers, nausea, flatulence, and indigestion.
