Palmarosa
Palmarosa
Although Palmarosa essential oil is produced in many places, including India and China, we prefer to carry the artisan oil produced in the Himalayan mountains, where the unique soils and climate impart a sweet rosy floral note with a lemony undertone.
Our Palmarosa artisan essential oil is wonderful for inhalation, and relieves fatigue, anxiety, and irritability. Energetically it creates a sensation of space in the diaphragm area.

Observations and Anecdotal Information
Palmarosa is used extensively in the perfume industry, as it blends beautifully with many florals. Unfortunately, it is commonly used to adulterate real rose oil, thereby extending the oil and increasing the profit.
It is also used to make inexpensive blends that imitate rose oil, usually by combining with lemongrass, may chang, and geranium.
Palmarosa has an affinity with the skin, and is an effective moisturizer and skin regenerator. It is used in wrinkle cremes and anti-aging formulas, and as a treatment for acne, rashes, and skin conditions.
Palmarosa is also a strong anti-viral oil, and can add a sweet note to the more medicinal scented blends for treating flu and viral infection.
