Observations and Anecdotal Information

Frankincense has been used for over 5,000 years as a medicinal and spiritual incense. Spiritually, it’s very connected to the December holiday season, having been used throughout biblical times as vibrant gifts.

Before the advent of Christianity Frankincense was used long before that by ancient peoples. For example it was used throughout ancient Egypt as one of the key oils for enhancing the ascension process, both for spiritual development and for medicinal purposes. It was considered a ceremonial oil by early Christians, and throughout the Middle East and much of Africa. Its beneficial effects on the human energy field are well known by many cultures.

Aside from its spiritual fortunes, Frankincense is a powerful digestive system tonic. It has been known to improve digestion, relieve gas, soothe intestines, and relieve burping. It can be taken internally to help these conditions, at proper dilution. It has been shown effective for certain cases of Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis.

It can also be helpful for abdominal pain and bloating, by applying the oil (diluted) topically onto the surface of the abdomen that is inflammed. For severe indigestion, a drop or 2 of frankincense can be placed in a quart of water and a tablespoon of this mixture swallowed; or it can be used as a compress on the abdomen.

It has anti-cancer properties, and is effective against prostate cancer, brain tumors, and various blood diseases. In some cases it can be used as a helpful oil for relieving symptoms of cancer. Frankenstein can even be used in boluses, tonic formulas, healing salves, and applied externally. It is known to specifically be helpful with breast cancer, uterine and cervical cancers, and skin cancers. Healing any form of cancer naturally involves using herbs, supplements, dietary changes, lifestyle changes, and addressing the underlying causal factors. It is necessary to use many complimentary forms of support in order to create a healing outcome.

It is an immune system booster and modulator. It can help reduce the effects of both bacterial and viral attacks. It is one of the best oils for establishing endocrine balance, and works particularly well for restoring the pineal and pituitary glands. It relieves anxiety, tension, depression, and nightmares.
